The interview was mostly behavioral—a casual, conversational-style chat. The atmosphere was very relaxed, and there were no strict time limits on how long each answer should be (not the typical “1–2 minutes per question” structure). The main purpose was to understand the candidate’s personality and evaluate fit with Booth. The entire conversation lasted around 20 minutes.
The interviewer asked about:
My internship experience
My most memorable project experience
Why Booth
Why the MiF program
After that, the interviewer (mine is from the career office) introduced herself and talked a bit about her own work.
There was also a Q&A section at the end. I asked about the career directions of students with similar backgrounds from the past two cohorts. The admissions officer shared that:
Around 70% of students are highly focused and pursue vertical summer internships in banking or asset management.
The remaining 30% are more exploratory, and their job searches lean toward investment management, corporate finance, investments, or strategy-related roles.
