I think we can start with simulating all possible outcomes of the underlying. Then using these values, calculating backwardly the lattice function with the risk-neutral probabilities. You may want to have a look at CRR model :) hope my humble opinion helps.
Regards,
UTS offers Master of Quantitative Finance program in 2 years. There is also recommended curriculum and short briefs of courses on the website. Hope this helps.
One of the crucial techniques of solving PDE is transforming it into a system of ODEs. I guess they provide a brief intro of ODE and then focus on PDE ;)
I've thought that I obviously get a lot of of questions before I could have a result from them :) And many times, they "guide" me to the answer instead of just "posting it", love that way.
Is that 1/4 * [the total number of cereal boxes]? As the matter of fact that different types of toys have equal probabilities and there is no information about the number of boxes containing one type of toys.

Is it different if we focus on C# instead of C++? I wonder how the outcome will be.
By the way, when I ask for advice about programming for my future Master course, I receive the answer included R, Matlab, Excel/VBA and C/C++. Wow, it's the long race for myself.
I have self-studied first six chapters in Shreve II. IMO, if you get lost in the Math side, try to refresh your Probability and Calculus. On the other hand, when you don't understand how the option works (e.g. Risk Neutral Measure), find a quick note about Option/Forward trading may help ^^

Is it a good idea to spend time on Economics/Finance subjects (Microeco, Corp Fin, Banking...) after a long time playing with Math? So, what is the level of understanding Market for a quant?
Suppose that you're interested in FE.
"Measure, Integral and Probabilities" <~ Since you have a good basic knowledge, this may help you for the combination between Prob and Analysis (even application in Math Fin ^^)

Thanks for your advice ^_^ Sometimes, I am a bit furious as compare myself with the top 5% students in my department (most of them choose Analysis major) and since Vietnam security market has born for a few years, the word "quant" is still strange and hardly find an experts in this exciting area.
Since I have almost finished my Bachelor Degree in Math in Vietnamese (University of Science, HCMC), I plan to study Master of Quantitative Finance in Australia.
Does someone give advice that in which I should enroll?
I have thought of 3 options,
- Uni of Technology, Sydney (UTS)
