I'm really surprised at the lack of controversy at each ranking that QuantNet released. Where have they gone? I just searched and the 2012 ranking got over 300 comments, then the 2016 ranking got 125 comments and 2017 ranking got only over 110 comments. I wonder if it's a sign of how much...

Someone at work sent me a link to an article on Quantnet. I think this is a niche community and not as well known as Wilmott so Quantnet does not attract the kind of undesirable characters as other bigger forums out there ;)

Just as Tim said above, just make sure you dive into this field having the right mindset and attitude. Doing MFE without knowing why or worse having the wrong motivations...

From what I saw here, it seems the Baruch students spend a whole lot of time browsing and posting on Quantnet. Is it because of homeworks ? :) I'm curious to see what is the average each full and part-time student spends a week here ?
