Hello every one

I am Ramji Gannavarapu from Herndon Virginia. I am a software engineer working for Fannie Mae Single Family Technology division. I have a Ph.D in Math ( Functional Anyalysis and Measure theory ) , a Masters in Mathematics and a Masters in computer Science. I like to be a Financial engineer and I am trying to figure out the missing piece in my Puzzle viz., Finance.

I worked for Cisco systems for 8+ years in VOIp technologies and I have a solid understanding of C++, Java etc.,

I wish this network will provide me an opportunity to share and learn the information to succeed in pursuing my future carrier in Financial wold.

Thanks
Ramji

Hi there,
You found the right place. You seem to have all the good quantitative background. I can venture to say that you can apply to some of the quant jobs right away.
Lot of people with your background come back to get an MFE degree. If going back to school is not your idea of fun, then you can start learning about Finance with couple of books before going to interview.
Other questions, just post here and we'll try to help.
