Which of these facts do you not agree with?What gives you that impression? Is columbia still sending out admits nowadays? Got interviewed on 2nd Feb and they've gone dark since then.
I feel this is why even though with a 3.4 gpa and a decent gre I have been able to be competitive for programs that I never thought I could be accepted to. I'm able to communicate well and have been urging to others that this is the most important skill to get into top institutions.All MFE programs do (and should) rank your ability to communicate in English proficiently above all other skills. Since these programs are extremely competitive, nearly all applicants are really smart. Seeing as the #1 metric on "how good an MFE program is" is placement rates, it's critically important that you can land a job.
