As you may know, its Hanukkah today.
So, Happy Hanukkah to all my Jewish friends out there, good luck in the finals that left, enjoy the break and take care.

I'm having a final tomorrow, so can't go to any parties today. And flying to Israel Tuesday morning which means that I probably will go to Hanukkah parties in Israel.

I am not particularly sure what Hanukkah is, but the choice of the video is indeed interesting :)

Hanukkah is about the time a bunch of Greeks invaded Israel, trashed the temple, and tried to take away our Jewish culture. We found some oil and a lamp and it burned for eight days and nights, and then we kicked the Greeks out.

In short:

"They tried to kill us, we won, let's eat!"

Which is essentially very similar to the reasons for a lot of Jewish holidays.
