I was wondering what you think about the UCLA MFE program. How good is it compare to other similar programs like Baruch, CMU, Columbia, Cornell, GaTech, Michigan, UCB etc.?
UCLA MFE is a very young program so it does not a long history, or a large alumni network to draw comparison on. Being in west coast, it inevitably has to compete with other programs, most notably UCB MFE.
So I'd say give it a few years to form its own identity, draw its strength and improve its weakness. I think it has a lot of room to improve. It would be interesting to see how the resources from the Anderson B-School can be leveraged for the MFE program.
