Im interested in pursuing a career that involves portfolio construction, factor modeling, portfolio optimization, coding, and statistics. Im much less interested in derivatives pricing. I currently have 8 financial engineering/financial mathematics programs I am considering applying to. I am wondering if a masters in statistics may be more suited to my career goals?
