Hi All,

I got admit from
1) Rutgers - MQF
2) Simon, University of Rochester - MS Finance
3) Rensselaer's Lally School - MS FERA program

Purely based on the program quality and future career as quantitative analysts, I am considering Rutgers MQF.

Please let me know if you agree or disagree( the reason why).

Thanks

Why do you think Simon MS Finance is better than Rutgers MQF?
My reason was Simon MBA Finance is better than Rutgers MBA Finance but when it comes to MS programs its other way round.

Shuhakit - Thx for your reply

While browsing internet for comparing programs I came across 3 links, All of them have Rutgers University ( if not MQF ) but Simon, University of Rochester is not even mentioned.

What is your opinion based on this?

Febmar Honestly, there's no way to really assess the quality of these three. They are all relatively unheard of (except Rutgers) aka they might be either complete dogs or hidden gems. The only sensible thing to do is paying the security deposit to all three schools and attending the first week of class at all three locations. That way you'll get first hand information about the student sentiment, quality of teaching, and the critical life lesson of DO YOUR SCHOOL RESEARCH BEFORE YOU APPLY.

I don't know but when in doubt, apply the old "flip a coin" decision technique.

Simon MS placement is not very high. Look at the website and you will see that the placement of students was in the high 70's.

thx all
Coin flipped ... with little bias on Rutgers MQF...
I so guess will stick with Rutgers for now.....

Will inform Simon and Rensselaer, I guess the waitlisted students will get faster response .
