Hello, I am a High School senior and I'm interested in the field of quants.

Anything I can do to learn more about this field? I don't really know any careers to pursue. I have heard of quant trading, research, and development but that's about it.

I want to pursue computer science and I am applying to Carnegie Mellon, Northeastern, Rochester Institute of Technology, Stony Brook, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Any other colleges I should try and apply to?

My GPA is uw 3.5 and 4.3 w. I will be doing sat optional for all. I do have a strong essay, LOR, and extracurriculars to help out since I won't be submitting my SAT grade. I know I don't seem competitive because of my rough year during my freshmen and during 10th and 11th-grade I tried my best to stand out as much as possible but really couldn't do anything thanks to Covid-19 locking down everything.

I know I may look like a joke or a troll but I am genuine and want to learn. I will be self-teaching myself some programming languages like python, c++, and javascript.
