I am contemplating a career shift to Quantitative Finance.
Please evaluate my profile and highlight areas I need to improve upon or may face challanges in.
Education:
- BE Mechanical (70%)
- 2 yrs post graduate diploma in management (with specialisation in financial mgmt) (65%)
Experience
- 8 yrs mostly as a securities and banking business analyst with an IT firm... all my projects have been with top Investment Banking clients.
- Good exposure to IB operations across Stock Loan, Prime Brokerage, Equities, Fixed Income but no exposure to sales/trading or quant
- No exposure to on the job programming. Learnt C when I was in Engg.
GRE / GMAT : yet to write
What are my chances in top schools ? and Please recommend MFE course good for my profile?
 
Just as some background, what countries did you do your education/work in?
 
Education: all in India
Experience: 5yrs in India; 2yrs in UK; rest in US/Japan
