This article is pretty accurate, except for the part where the recruiter quotes salary numbers.

The quant function has been largely commoditized. One can go to any consulting firm and recant-quant these days. Infrastructure is key. The validation function gets a lot of respect.

Thanks Ken. Sure. Infrastructure is the key. I double confirm being in the job market for 5+ years. Not sure, why people are still paying $$$ for Quant/Math Finance programs.
