In 1990, The Corporations revenue in The Sector was 4.6 million USD. In 2000, The Corporation's revenue in The Sector was 7.2 million USD. Given that the revenue for The Sector as a whole decreased by 15% between 1990 and 2000, by what percentage has The Corporation's share of The Sector grown?

A. 10%
B. 15%
C. 25%
D. 50%
E. Cannot say

The question asks for growth, which I took to mean Percentage Increase (the difference divided by original). In my interpretation of the question, the absolute size of The Sector in 1990 will cancel out in the final division.

Taking the size of the industry in 1990 to be x, we are given:

In 1990, The Corporation's share of The Sector is 4.6/x
In 2000, The Corporation's share of The Sector is 7.2/0.85x

Percentage Increase = [(7.2/0.85x)-(4.6/x)]/(4.6/x) = 84%

I need to be wrong. Please explain why.
