Received admits from the aforementioned and a scholarship offer from Rutgers. Comparing the course structure, UIUC seems to be more focused and has a higher emphasis on programming and the practicum course, which bodes well with me as I'm a B.Tech CSE graduate. But wanted to know how much the location of Urbana will impact me than being in NJ with Rutgers with job opportunities.

Any opinions/thoughts? Thank you.

Well, UIUC's MSFE is a quite intense program and all, but it sucks in terms of its location.
I would vote for Rutgers, because IMHO, for these programs, location means a lot more than the actual contents

How would you rate Rutgers curriculum wise? And would you feel it's a better option to take just because of the location?
