This weekend's NY Times magazine article "The No-Stats All Start" was very interesting. It talks about an NBA player who's stats are average but whenever he is on court his team gets lot better. The use of statistics described is very interesting. I think some of you might like the article. The ending is also very interesting as it talks about the random events in the sense you take care of what you can take care of, but some random events outside of you control will happen.

Great article. I like reading almost anything Michael Lewis writes. If finance is dead you can always count on statistics to be in demand even in places you might not have initially suspected.
