Time allowed for making decision?

For those programs with rolling deadlines, such as UCB, UCLA, Columbia MAFN..., how much time do you have to make your decision after they offer you admission? Is it going to be "you have two weeks to decide starting from today" or "respond by a certain date"?

If they only allow you say two weeks to make a decision, then I wonder whether it's a good idea to time your application submissions to try to align the decisions for different schools. This might be a good strategy if one is applying to schools with both fixed and rolling deadlines.

Can anyone with experience applying to multiple programs with rolling deadlines shed some light?
