Ubuntu netbooks

my friend installed Ubuntu 10.04LTS on his netbook and is absolutely thrilled with it. Starts up in seconds, and works amazingly quickly.
Your netbook will work much better w. Ubuntu than it does with the Window operating system.

Never tried the netbook, but I have the desktop version and its fantastic :D So much faster booting up and logging in. Lots of support for ubuntu too if you run into problems.

Ubuntu is good. I switched recently and will never be back to Windows...You can as well work paralleled with windows which makes it better.

I had some editor problems though...But I'm executing C++ apps on it, generally Linux OS is found to be of more preference among programmers (including on QN) than windows as I observe .
