    Hey Anthony, I just got into WUSTL MSF Corporate finance track. I am an international student and would like to work in US after my masters but there are no statistics for International student placements on the career website. Plus the corporate finance track has very few international students? Is that because MSF corporate finance is not worthy for an international student?

    I think international students gravitate to the quant track because they are more comfortable in that area. This is a generalization of course.

    The corporate finance track is going to be for those interested in banking, asset management, valuation, credit analysis, etc. I would look at it as a positive.

    hello Sir, i like finance and its mathematical aspect. i am not a big fan of programming. some programming is fine but i would not want a course which is built around programming. I find MIT and Princeton courses really nice but one can never be sure about being admitted. So suggestions for any other school which has nearly the same curriculum? Any help is appreciated. thankyou!

    Hello Anthony! I have applied for Ms Finance program for fall 2012 batch and want some help in selecting a university from the admits I have. Out of all the admits, I've shortlisted 2 of them.They are IIT and University of Houston(C.T. Bauer School of Business)
    Can u please tell me which out of these would be a better option?? Please Help. thanks

    Depends on what you are looking for. I personally think Houston is growing more than Chicago. Honestly, sounds like you prefer Chicago and if so, should go to ITT.

    its not about me liking Chicago Anthony. I just want to be sure of my decision. Coming to think of it, i think i'll be joining UoH itself. And as far as IB jobs are concerned, I'll just have to work hard and get into a good financial services firm. Currently I'm working for Thomson Reuters but working as a systems engg.

    The point is there is no sure decision. If you like and want to work in Chicago, ITT is the choice. If you have zero preference, I think UoH is the better choice. With that said, not everyone wants to work in Houston or likes Texas. If you are miserable and hate where you are you will not network or interview well.

    I was accepted into the Quantitative Track of the MS in Finance at WUSTL and was trying to get an idea of it's placement. I am concerned that this track's placement is nowhere near as strong as the placement for the Corporate Finance & Investment Track. I am more interested in Financial Engineering than Corporate Finance.

    This is the first year for the quant track. WUSTL has good placements and was always the more quant of the MSF programs. This quant track really allows students to focus. I would imagine placements will be decent, more quant/traditional finance than say the more well known MFE programs.

    My major was in Information Tech.
    Relevant subjects include
    Applied & Computational Math
    Programming in C C++ Java

    Financial Accounting
    I have no work experience
    Could you plz suggest some univ. based on my profile for MSF.
    Do I stand a chance for MSF Bentley College.

    I know a lot about the MSF and general student profiles, but I am not an adcom so I cant really tell you which will admit you or not.

    Bentley is a solid option. I would maybe expand it to a few more schools. US schools get a lot of Indian applicants so you need to differentiate yourself. That and apply to a bunch of schools. Decide where you want to work and check out my website. I have all the US programs listed.

    Anthony i js got an admit fron Rutgers for the MQF program. how is the college? Ive heard the Math Finance program's really gud..how abt this?

    I think the Rutgers program is pretty good. If I am correct it is in New Bruswick campus which will allow you to get to NYC for interviews and stuff.

    well this aint on the new brunswik campus..its at newark.. its the quantitative finance program which is different from the mathematical finance program at new brunswik... this degree comes from the b skool.
