Surely the decision is pretty hard..i think all ppl who got admits to mfe this year r going through similar emotions.. Personally I feel applying to CMU will be gud..

One thing i forgot to mention...everybody waits and follows Quantnet's program ratings.

Even i agree..ppl here at quantnet r really awsm n helpful.. Regarding princeton, stanford guys..they may be having "superiority" complex or its just that many ppl dont apply there..

mfegrad has done the good work..so i dont need to explain further..i have a few friends from cmu who had similar view about the program..

Although I dont fall in neither category of ppl u mentioned, my impression/experience says CMU MSCF will be more fruitful choice

2010 class graduated in Dec'10 so does this mean 83% ppl got the job? bonus? How do they know the bonus numbers, students havent worked for even a year!

Did you try at UCLA office..I think they can give you stats if you have already got the admit.

Yes Andy, I totally agree that #1 concern is career in US. I kind of assumed that good reputation of course implies good chances of getting job immediately after course. Any good course should give stats, I hope these 2 courses give soon. It will also help pocari to make decision. ;)

For an international student, CA or Chicago isnt a criteria. The foremost question is which one has more reputation?

Even I will agree with junemfe..specially on faculty front n placement seems to be picking up although hard to compete with UCB What are the class sizes for respective courses? @andy..are u surprised by the fall?

I see lot of recent activity for UCLA so what about their numbers?
