Ba seem, I don't see the point in doing a cqf. I doubt quant finance admissions people care that much. Think of it this way: any qualification that is purely study-based is if limited use without real experience.

I can't speak to any of the many programs at Columbia. I teach at Baruch and I have been very impressed with Dan's ability to get people placed. I like my students there, as well.

i have read about Baruch, it has an amazing program, and an amazing ability to get people placed!
the CQF will not be that much of help, however i live in the middle east its cheaper here so i thought it might help me get prepared more than the pre MSFE courses (do you agree?).

continuing from above:
by the way, Washington university gives its program online,
but Baruch ranks much better and with better placement, and i have been told that getting involved by with cultures by traveling and doing a masters in a different country is a huge plus on the cv.
but doing it online part-time while working also adds years of experience.
which is the best choice?
