This course is very changeable, but very tailor-made for beginners to learn Financial Programming. The TAs provide good support and respond message in time. Overall, this is a very nice course.
This course is awesome especially for people who don't have any programming experiences before. The resources are also extremely helpful, TA is really supportive and respond to my questions timely. Learnt a lot from the dynamic forum. After about 2 month study, I get to build my own financial projects now. Definitely a good investment.
Really wonderful courses!

Taking it step by step, and you will love coding.

Love the academic atmosphere in this forum!!

And my TA APalley is great and responsible. Love the time here!

This course drives me to further pursue my study in quant field.
A bit challenging for those without much experience in programming, but it's nice. TA is very helpful.
This course really helps a lot in preparing me for my future study and career, since I am applying for MFE program this year and want to develop further in quantitative finance. The TAs are great! Whenever there is any problem with my homework, they are always there to help. I not only learned a lot from the course materials, but got many tips about programming on the forum as well. Especially thanks my TA, APalley, who offers detailed comments on my homework every time. He really enables me to get clear what should be paid attention to, and these advice are very specific. Thanks to you all for this course! It has been a pleasure being with you guys along the way!
Course is very good. The C++ concepts and OOP thinking is comprehensive and clear. Through the course you can fully understand C++ characteristic . The homework and quiz are well-designed which is very helpful for me to master and review C++ concepts. TA is very helpful. He leads me to build OOP thinking. He gave detail comments of every exercise of every homework., Form his comments I deepened understanding of C++ concept. I'm impressed with his rich knowledge , kindness and patience.
TA, is awesome, allowing me to do many fancy stuffs with losing too much points ^_^

Yet it's the extracurricular fancy stuffs help me the most!! Like data structs and simple model wheels
This is a very well structured course from which every aspiring programmer can glean benefits. The pace of the material is fast, yet attainable, if one dedicates an adequate amount of time to master each level. I was able to complete the course while working full time with ample time to spare - take advantage of the first two levels that are accessible before enrolling in the course.

You will be taken from the basics of the C language to C++ functions, classes, inheritance, polymorphism, generic programming, STL, boost, etc. Each level builds on the previous one in a natural and seamless fashion. In the end, you will leave the course with more knowledge and material than most undergrad programming courses offer. Prior experience helps, but is not a must. I would recommend investing in a good beginner book nonetheless.

While the TA is exceptional, you have a vast amount of knowledge shared in the forums which basically addresses pretty much any question you might have. This course was an enjoyable ride which only got better as the levels increased.
Course designed in good manner, and the material provided in level 9 is very useful. TA did really good jobs in terms of answering questions, grading, and commenting.
The course is quite useful for financial engineering and pave the way for becoming a quant. Also, TA is quite careful about every homework. The forum is useful for course discussion.
Pretty pretty good!

The course is comprehensive and systematic.

Forum is quite helpful. I can find answers to almost all my questions there.

My TA is very nice and always replies to my questions quickly.
The course is really helpful for understanding C++ knowledge and interviews. The assignments and exams are demanding and TA is really supportive in giving quick and instructive responses!
The course was great. Gave a nice introduction to object oriented programming. Instructors were quick to respond to any questions. Definitely had me prepared for my MFE program.
Today, I have taken the final exam and received the final grade from my TA. I am really happy that i could finish this course even though at the beginning it was really hard to understand the basic concepts of C++ programming. But, since the first 2 Level, it was getting easier to do the next levels. Thus, learning C++ was a big step towards to pursue financial engineering career for me. Also, I would like to appreciate APalley assistance, my TA, that really helped me finish the course. I am encouraging the people, like me, with no prior programming experience, who want to change the career into financial engineering, to take the course, which will be the great experience.
The quality of the course is guaranteed. As a beginner, I can get all I need from the course materials and the forum. My TA is very easygoing and responsible. Everytime I ask him some questions he will respond promptly and answer my questions patiently.

I think it will be of great help to take the course for my further study in financial engineering.
The course is well-organized and very comprehensive. My TA Avi always provides me with detailed comment on HW and timely response in the forum. Overall, it's a great course and it's worth taking.
The course is quite comprehensive and I enjoyed working on the codes and discovering the solutions with the help of the QuantNet community, the TAs and the internet. Professor Duffy's explanation is clear. What I found most crucial was that there is a structure in the course that is not available on youtube videos or other websites. And for a beginner, structure is very important in that one needs to build the fundamentals in a logical manner. A good stepping stone into the world of programming.

The C++ 11 techniques and optimization skills in this course is very helpful for me in my MFE degree. Also, C++ 11, multi-threading and Boost are required by some companies for quant jobs. Overall, I believe this course is helpful and challenging.
TA is really patient and kind. He helps me solve all the problem in time.

The course is of high quality, I really harvest a lot from that.
It's a really solid and well-designed C++ learning course. I haven't learn any object-oriented programming before but through learning all the materials, lecture videos, doing homework, debugging the program and asking questions, reading the threads, I started to understand how to program in ""Object"" way more and more and improved my programming skill a lot. According to my own experiences taking this course, I need to say this course it's really not easy, especially if you don't have any OOP experiences, but you will definitely benefit from this learning process and won't regret what you have invested on it. I feel like completing this course is not the end but the start, this course opens the C++ world for me, and makes me want to continue to improving my programming ability which is the best thing I got from this course!! So, thanks for Professor @Daniel Duffy's lectures, my TA @APalley's help over these months and all the people's sharing in the forum threads!
