:Personal Statement
Generic. In the order of who I am -> What I studied -> Experience in US -> Experience in KR -> Area of interest -> Why this field/program -> Why this school.

:Interview Experience
The overall experience was pleasant. I was contacted by a faculty member who commented that my application looked interesting, and booked an interview.

The interview presented itself as a 10-minute formal interview, but it was more of a 10-minute coffee chat than a cutthroat technical interview per se. The interviewer made it clear that the program genuinely wanted to know me as a person. Wasn't really stiff, both sides freely drove the topics of conversation while touching upon following questions.

Q: Share something about yourself that is NOT on the CV or the personal statement.
Q: Do you think that decentralized finance will overtake traditional finance?
Q: What are your hobbies?
Q: What's the most recent book you've read? Would you recommend it to others?

We ended up talking about everything about myself that isn't on the CV or the personal statement for 7 minutes.

AFAIK interviews aren't common for this program. So my guess is that the interview was conducted as a culture check to see if I can assimilate (cuz you know, my CV is mostly professional experience with little to no academic achievements). It's one of those interviews that you can't really prepare for.

:Offer
Unconditional (other than verifying my undergraduate credentials). 2 weeks to respond.
