The program takes full advantage of the colleges of Mathematics, Engineering and Finance by immersing the students within each campus amongst a plethora ot other type of students. Engineering courses make use of optimization methods and techniques, while the Finance Courses Primary focus is on Bonds, MBS, Futures, Hedging, Risk while the mathematics courses provide the momentum to propel the students in the quantum approach.

In addition, the program layers a deep level of practical experience for the student by providing access to a varied landscape of projects, corporate sponsors, internship programs, MFE alum.

Corporate Projects: The program is now embedded amongst several sponsoring companies in various fields of interests (Asset management, Data Analytics, Blockchain, Alternative Trading Signals …) via academic and real-life projects. All the projects benefit from the insights of corporate executives. Student meets periodically with those sponsors and amongst themselves as a team. Students have the opportunities to include those projects with their 2-semester capstone projects but have the ability to continue on projects beyond the capstone.

Capstone Project, Professional Development, Networking, Internship Program

The yearlong Capstone Projects expose students to concepts such NLP, Neural Networks, DeFI, Multi Factor Models, Trading Algorithms.

The weekly Professional Development Course provides multiple networking opportunities via MFE Alum interactions, .

The annual Lehigh Quant / Financial Engineering conference provides a platform for students who want to present their significant project findings while enhancing their network with third party conference participants.

A newly designed Internship Program will enable students to rotate through various quant internships enabled by our program close relationship with several niche firms.

The people make this program great!

As with any program there are dipshits, but I think the time our program director has invested into getting good candidates into the MSFE has yielded great results, especially in terms of scholarships. The friends I've made here are definitely for life and we have supported each other a lot.

The program director does a lot to get people jobs by getting us into various corporate sponsored projects. For others this has helped them especially in the interview stage.

The administration/directors of the program are decent at responding to issues. For example, there recently was an issue with international students having to pay extra for OPT that was resolved. I have my old review regarding this issue for posterity on my profile.

One issue, however, is lack of teachers in the business department. This has led to two big issues. One is classes being overlapped with undergraduates. Normally, this wouldn't be the biggest issue, but the derivatives course is going to be at an undergraduate level and not going to get to Black-Scholes, rendering it useless for graduate students. The professor has been great and will try to adjust the course just for graduate students but he shouldn't be forced to do that. Two, the program has professors who have influence on the curriculum and keep their outdated courses in it

Blessed to be in the program, admissions was straightforward and I got a 70%+ scholarship from the school which jas helped à great deal. The program manager truly cares about us and constantly reminds us of places we can improve on academically ans career wise. Can't emphasize enough on the usefulness of Capstone projects in various areas : blockchain, AI applications, data analysis, portfolio management etc. Great program and close knit

Joined the program one year ago and everything is perfectly so far. The program provides various courses for students with specific interest on data , quant or finance.
I joined the program fall 22. It’s been almost a month now. Two things stand out to me from this program so far. Number 1 is the networking opportunities. The program can connect you with people related to your interest pretty quickly and they are very helpful. Number 2 is the projects. They are great opportunities for you to put what you are learning in class to action.
I'm a current student of the MFE program and I must say it's gone beyond all expectations. The tailored approach of the curriculum and active engagement of industry experts on projects gives the practical perspective required. In addition, the program team consistently ensure we get a lot out of updated industry resources and networking events.
Be ready to grasp cutting edge technological skills with rigorous mathematical models delivered by outstanding Professors.

A huge value for your buck!
Lehigh MFE provides a great combination of rigorous coursework and practical real-world experience. You learn the mathematical and computational methods underpinning financial concepts and products, and then you apply them to relevant and state-of-the-art projects that are similar to those that professionals are working on in their respective industries and sectors today.
Lehigh MFE program is really helping me in both academic side and industrial side, I was inspired by the passion that the instructors showed during these years and I really enjoy the atmosphere in Lehigh Community.
I am a current MFE student at Lehigh graduating in May 2023. This program is amazing, the curriculum fused finance, math, and industrial engineering altogether and truly prepares candidates for the future. The program also has 15+ ongoing projects partnering with real companies. Lehigh MFE not only provides a great curriculum but also fantastic resources for job search, networking, and how to present yourself like a quant. As an international student in the competitive job field, I would say the manager, career coach, and all professors have my back and I am well prepared.
I am a current MFE student at Lehigh, set to graduate in the winter of 2021. This program is fantastic, because on top of the curriculum fusing together finance, math, and engineering, there is a clear goal to prepare us for the future. The program includes working on real-life projects by partnering with companies, which prepares us for life after college, and also gives us the opportunity to build our network and potentially earn a job. On top of that, every week we get the opportunity to meet with former students of the program, where we learn about their path to where they are now. There is a clear goal from the administration to help us students not only get a job out of college, but the right job for each of us. I would recommend this program to anyone interested in a quantitative finance profession.
