The Financial Mathematics Professional Master of Science program will equip you with the quantitative and technology skills, knowledge, and experience that investment management firms, insurance companies, hedge funds, and financial technology developers are looking for.
Launched in 2001, our program has an annual enrollment of about 30 students and provides a well-rounded and flexible program of study. You will gain a firm mathematical foundation in probability and random processes, extensive domain knowledge in quantitative finance from arbitrage theory to computational methods, and expertise in portfolio management from fixed income analysis to risk management. Your studies will be complemented by finance courses taken at the WPI School of Business and electives in data science, information technology, and computer science. You will apply your skills through intense project work and an internship drawn from real‐life problems at local financial firms.
