Hey guys I have posted in other sections and been completely ignored.....sigh...hoping for better luck in here

About me. Actuary(more specifically soon to be ASA by year's end)

4 years work experience as an actuarial assistant.

Long story short i want/wanted to be an investment actuary. Opportunities using traditional avenues are hard to come by (not helped by the fact that I am on a h1b visa....soon to get my GC though) while opportunities in the more interesting non traditional roles are looking for FSA. I am seriously thinking about doing an MFE program. Baruch or Columbia

I know Columbia has a great name and reputation but I am just wondering if Baruch can afford me the same marketability once I have completed the program in helping me get a job

If you are wondering why I am interested in MFE its because as actuaries we get quite a bit of exposure to this material (and I have always had a love for programming)

Take a look at the syllabus of an actuarial exam I am studying for

Any advice would be much appreciated
