Hello Everyone,
I am looking for advice on how to improve my overall application, my current target programs are Baruch, MIT and BU
To give you an idea here are my basic credentials:
Undergraduate: Electrical Engineering & Applied Math (double major) – 3.4GPA (3rd class rank)
GRE: 164 Quant, 160 Verbal, 5.5 Writing
Internships: Software Engineering(1year), Team Lead & Principal Hardware Engineering (1year)
Current Job: Software Engineer in Support (5months, currently working).
I am applying this year but understand that a lot of things that will improve my chances may take a year. This includes taking classes in programming, math, economics, ect. Whatever you believe may have the largest impact on my application. Anything that can be done in conjunction with work would be optimal such as online classes. I understand that my undergraduate GPA is not the best so I am trying to figure out what I can do to make myself more competitive. Any recommendation you can make would be greatly appreciated.

I was thinking about taking the C++ certification class though Baruch to have additional grades for submission. Does anyone have any proven ideas? Would higher GRE scores help make up for my relatively low undergrad GPA? Maybe CFA level I/II?
