Hi all,

I've recently been admitted to the MSFE at UIUC (with a scholarship covering part of the tuition) and the M.S in Financial Mathematics at UNC Charlotte. While the program at UIUC seems very well rounded I am wondering if I should not work for a year and re-apply to a wider range schools next year.
I think that I may have been too conservative in my choice of schools and underestimated my chances of getting into other programs.

Here's some infos about my background:
I am graduating with a B.S in Computational Mathematics from Arizona State University. (4.0 GPA)
I did an internship in the actuary department of an insurance company. I don't have any other work experience.

Do you think that working for a year and applying to other programs at schools such as Columbia, CMU, UCB, NYU is a wise choice?
Or should I just go-ahead with UIUC which seems to be a great program to me ?

Thank you guys for taking the time to help me out !
