Hello, I hope you are doing well. I just graduated college and got a job as a software engineer in New York. I'm thinking about doing the Baruch MFE program Part-Time, mainly because I can't afford to quit working and because the company will be sponsoring my h1b and then my green card, so I'd like to kill two birds with one stone; however, I'm also considering just waiting and doing the program full time so that I have time to do an internship. I guess what I'd like to is if as a part time student I'll get the same shots as a full time student when hunting quant jobs.

Baruch MFE partime is the right move in your case. There is no distinction between part-time or full-time as far as career services and job opportunities in their program.
You will take the same classes and have the same access as FT students.

You'll have full time experience, which is better if it's relevant.

If you want to transfer to a different position, the degree helps you do that. You'll have lots of time to network, and Baruch is great about helping students get their targeted positions.

Taking the Advanced Calculus seminar meets the finance prerequisite. Work experience can also be used, or Finance classes from a college.

I highly recommend the Advanced Calculus seminar.

The is is not an online program. You need to attend it in person.

Part-time students typically take two courses a semester and the time commitment should be about 20-30 hours a week.

Part-time students receive career help to make the desired career move without doing internships.
