Hi all,

I am currently working as an IT auditor in a insurance company, but considering switching to Quant. My educational backgrounds are BS in Computer Science, and Mathematics, and MBA in Accounting, and very fluent in C, C++, Java. Also, in my math major curriculum, I have taken Mathematical Finance course which exposed me to the quant finance a little bit.

During my research on quant job qualifications, I noted many ppl were saying that MS or PhD in Math or Quant Finance are required. But I only have MBA in Accounting, and BS in CS and Math. So was concerned if I am qualified for the quant job or not.

Could I find a quant job with my background?

Also, I want to know if CPA license would be beneficial in quant? Or quant is totally different world so CPA license is just a piece of paper for recycling?
