Certificate in Finance - UCLA

I was wondering if a certificate in finance has any value when you apply for a MFE or MFin.
Is it something that will boost my profile? Or will it be seen as a waste of time (and money)?

I think you are talking about corporate finance focus. Instead of spending $6K, why not do the CFA Level #1

Well, it's because I am currently doing a Business Engineering program, and thought a certificate in Finance would add more value.

I hv heard early applications hv better chances of getting final admits.
But, if i believe, my profile could improve significantly by a later date, would it be advisable to apply at a later date given that my application can get rejected if i send in tht earlier since it could not match up to expectations.?
Could somebody please advise me on how to go about it? Do applications get rejected even before 1st deadline? if so, is it not better to send applications during 3rd or 4th round?
