Stats:
Undergrad in Math/Financial Analysis and Statistics (University of Waterloo) 82% Cumulative average (roughly 3.7 gpa from what I have heard, I am not sure). But my major average is 86 (I think thats 3.9).

Internships: 8 month internship as a quant at an investment manager
GRE: will do but fairly confident i will get 165+ on quant but need more work on verbal ( i think with practice I can get 160)

Also in a varsity sport team

I think my target is at UCLA mfe, but I am really hoping for MIT, berkeley, Baruch, and NYU.

Get data from retrospective cohorts in those programs (GPA scores , years experiences, GRE ,...etc)

Compute them and run your stat analysis to estimate your chance.

That will give a rough estimate however, so you need to adjust per location, for example : NYC, Baruch and MIT , remove 30% if you were Ted Cruz fan.

It is pretty straight forward !

i think you have a very good chance of getting into one of quantnet's top 10 programs. Waterloo is well known, your gpa's good, you have related work experience, etc. Baruch, UCLA should be safety/targets for you.

Why UofT MMF is not in your list? Did you consider it?
From what I have seen, UT MMF is a very competitive program but not necessarily the best in placing for FO quant positions. Its easily the best to get into risk management or the few FO roles in Canada but not much for placing in US.

That being said, I think it attracts really high calibre students from canadian universities (like Toronto, Waterloo) and I am honestly not even sure I could get in.
