I will be entering EPFL’s MFE program this Fall and will be focusing on taking my electives in Machine Learning and AI.
An area I am really interested in is commodities trading and Switzerland is one of the biggest commodity trading hubs in the world.
I have two main questions:
1) Does commodities trading in Switzerland involve a high degree of quantitative methods? If so, will experience from Switzerland allow me to find jobs elsewhere? I am really entertained by the idea of living in different places.
2) Any ideas in the starting compensation + career progression in Switzerland in this field?
