Im 30 years old with some experience in financial services and have a BA in Econ.
After some years of experience I realized that my biggest interest lies in researching the macro environment around commodities markets.
I don't want to become a trader or developer, but that doesn't mean I don't want to code either.
My main desire is to use quantitative methods, statistics and other definite tools to create a solid picture of the supply/demand and other geopolitical events affecting commoditiy prices.
Here is an example of what I'd like to do:
Strategy | UBS Global topics
Would a MFE with a CFA give me the tools of need to try and get into this line of work?
Assuming I do decide to get a MFE, I'd need to improve my application by taking math courses past cal 1&2 which is all I've taken so far.
How would a online masters in mathematics help or could it? Thanks
