Hello All,
I am currently in the beginning stages of creating an algorithmic trading platform which will be mainly coded with C# (some Python scripting -- Quandl extraction and SQL insertion). I have noticed most quant sprogram with C++, is it a disadvantage to have C# as your strongest programming language in quantitative finance? Ideally I would like to end up at a hedge fund or asset management firm.
Note: I have completed a full-year graduate certificate in C++ programming from UC-San Diego, so I know how to program with it, but I like the convenience of C#
Just want to get thoughts on this, and if I should be considering writing a sister platform in C++ for the experience.
Thanks
