Does a strong GRE (170Q 165V) or the difficulty of courses (engineering/CS/math courses at a school like Georgia Tech) compensate for a moderate/weak GPA (between 3.6 and 3.7)?

Any insight is appreciated, thanks y'all!

Admissions committees take everything into account. Check the application tracker to get a general idea of what kind of GRE scores and GPAs got into which programs.

Since when is 3.6/3.7 GPA in Engineering moderate/weak? I am from Europe that must explain my bewilderement :)

Is GPA 3.6/3.7 really weak???

IMO, something called 'weak' is worse than average/median.

Is your GPA above, on or bellow the average of your class?

If it is well above, shouldn't worry. If not, it can only help.

And yes, when accepting students, programs tend to notice the difference of difficulty between courses in STEM and courses of the type of basket weaving.

Does 0.4 (on a 4.0 scale) GPA points greater than the average generally constitute well above?

Also, the cutoff to graduate with highest honors is 3.55, does that help as well?
