Extension of acceptance date

I received my offer on Feb 13th, and U of Chicago ask me to reply to the offer no later than March 8th. However, I still haven't heard back from NYU and CMU, whose decision date is after March 8th. I sent the request for extension to the director of that program a week ago and left voice message, but I still haven't received any feedback yet.

So, I just wonder if there is someone that give me some suggestions on this issue.

Well my friend faced the same situation with UPenn and he asked them for an extension of deadline. They granted his request.

So, first I would ask them. If they say no, I guess your only option would be to pay the initial deposit or forfeit while you wait.
