Hello! I am currently an upcoming junior at a mediocre socal school, wondering how these MFE programs like UCB and UCLA place at fixed income asset management firms like Pimco, Double Line Capital, Western Asset Management Group, ETC. Does anyone have any insight on this?

The west coast MFE programs traditionally place well into those AM firms such as Pimco. I do know you will find alumni of UCB MFE and UCLA MFE there.
However, I don't believe I have seen detailed breakdown for each year so it's hard to know if they still place well there recently.
Best to investigate via LinkedIn to bypass the lack of info.

Hi,
Programs like the one you mentioned offer a strong alumni network. The curriculum focuses on quantitative finance and risk management. In short, students from this program often have good opportunities in the asset management industry.
