Hello,

I live in Singapore.
I am graduating in BSc with Honours in Cybersecurity by Coventry University in 2026 Feb. I will work after graduation be it Cybersecurity or Quant.
Time till graduation: 15 Months

I plan to do my MFE in 2027 August.(Part time)

What are some steps to take from now to enter a entry level quant role after graduation in 2026FEB? Should i take the 'C++ Programming for FE and the Advanced C++ and Modern Design' offered by QuantNet? Any Other recommendations such as certain projects that i can do during my free time in UNI?

What are the skills in cybersecurity that can be leveraged for Quant interviews/roles ? Programming languages like Python & Java are heavily used in my bachelors. The only modules in my bachelors that i feel are compatible/beneficial for a quant role is Algorithms and Data Structures, Secure Programming and Cryptography. I understand that C++ is heavily used for a quant role.

I understand that most quant roles are catered to postgrads, what are some roles that i can apply for as an undergrad that will transition into QuantFinance ?
My initial plan was to work in a bank's cybersecurity division and transition into FE internally after getting an MFE.

Lastly, which PostGrad MFE programme in Singapore is the best to break into Quant? The top 3 programmes for MFE in Singapore are; National University Singapore(MFE), Nanyang Technological University(MFE), Singapore Management University(MQF). I plan to go to NUS MFE as NUS is ranked 8th in the world and 1st in Asia.
May i please get opinions/advice on this.

THANK YOU FOR READING AND I HOPE FOR THE REPLIES
