How valuable is prop trading experience?

I've been offered an internship at a decent proprietary equity trading firm (non quant). While I still have a 2nd a round at a much more competitive quant trading firm I'm wondering how valuable this experience would be on a resume? I know prop trading itself doesn't offer much career development and is very different than market making. Would this experience help in getting a trading position at a BB or a buyside firm (setting sights very high I know) once I'm done with my MFE? Also to note, I have no internship experience yet so I'll definitely be taking the position.
