Hey guys,
I recently received a letter from Baruch that my application is complete and has been forwarded to the admissions committee. The decision is expected on or before may 15.
That very day i realised that the new Opt rules were out, and unfortunately through the wording i gather that I am perilously close to being out of status. I am of course in the US, in NJ.
I have an admission offer from IIT Stuart, but naturally wanted to wait till i received a decision from baruch.
Now I am in a real hurry, because the changes in my status need to be performed by the end of april.
My question is do you guys feel that if I went to the Admissions office and appraised them of my situation they may agree to expedite the decision.
Please do let me know your thoughts. I dont want to accept I-20s unless I am sure I want to go to a certain school.
