Hi, I just graduated with a master in theoretical high energy physics, and after working as a quant for my student job, where developed neural networks for the prediction of time serious of stock market prices, how do I enter best the jobe Mark, I have only minimal formal training outside my old job in python and did numerical simulation in Cpp in my BSc. Until the job I would have thought that I mega and go into research.

If you want a well-paid job as a quant-proper, you will usually need C++. This is one of the key skills. Python is only relevant for rather "quant researchers", who do the jobs you described on the buy side, or in quantitative strategies on the sell side. This are not the hard-core "quant" jobs.

See Chapter 2 of Quantitative Analyst, Developer, Strat: The Profession on different types of the quant jobs in different types of organisations.
