Cornell FE Knight scholarship & merit-based fellowships

I just got admitted to Cornell FE without merit-based financial support. Anyone got fellowship along with admit letter? They say they evaluate their financial aid budget on an ongoing basis. Is it common practice for Cornell to send out fellowships weeks after admission?

I just submit my application for Knight Scholarship. Anyone already got it? The deadline is Feb 1 though...kinda weird to apply for it after got admitted.
 
I got some kind of a fellowship(not Knight) along with my admission letter, but it was not mentioned in the e-mail.
