Hi all. I just graduated from Cambridge Maths with a 2.ii. I was expecting a 2.i but my exam performance this year wasn't as good as I expected. Below is my academic/indsutrial expeirience. How can I break into quant trading? Should I apply to grad schemes? How should I prepare?

I got 90% on my coursework in my final year. I completed an internship at a mid-sized Fintech company last summer as a SWE intern. I'm now completing a Machine Learning internship at a Molecular Biology Lab in Cambridge. I have experience with Python and MATLAB.

Any tips appreciated. Please share your experience. If you were in my position, what would you do to break into quant finance?

I'm not familiar with UK market so not much help here.
Cambridge has a good name there so I thought it would at least open doors for you. What kind of career services do they provide you with? Do employers come to Cambridge and make presentation and collect CV/resumes?
Do your math professors have relationships with finance employers?
If you are qualified for graduate scheme, it's good to apply to get some relevant experience.
