Major: Math; Actuarial Science
Minor: Computer and Information Science
GPA: 3.5/4(low......)
GRE: V144 Q170 (took it yesterday, I will retake next month)
Programming: Java, C++, COBOL, MatLab, Database management(SQLite, Java JDBC Hibernate ORM), SAS
Intern: Risk management, Audit at Big 4. PE summer analyst at a large asset management institution. IBD intern at a securities company.
Recommendation letters: 1 from intern sponsor. 1 from a CSE lecturer. 1 from a math lecturer. For the CSE professors in my school, they usually do the research instead of teaching. Especially for me, a minor student, cannot enroll in a "professor's class". I don't know if a lecturer's letter is also OK?
I know my GRE and other subjects are really poor. I will retake the GRE next month. But for my GRE score now. Is there still a chance to get an admission from a MFE( or similar ) program? For me, UCLA UChicago Columbia(MathFin) Rutgers(MathFin) NYU-POLY. Do I have the chance about these programs? Since I don't think I have any chance for other great programs.
Thank you.
