I come from a non tech background where my undergrad degree was business. I took the last 2 years getting most of the generalized pre req for any fin engineering programs that include stats, calc, pdes, probabilities, linear algebra, finance. And I'm going to take numerical analysis this coming fall.
My questions is which of these two master programs is a better route to go if I want to go into algothrimic trading? From what I have researched, the best MFE program would be Baruch at CUNY. However, I have also looked at Rutgers Master in Statistical finance and UofChicago Stats Masters program and they also offer courses which I think that are helpful like econometrics, time series, computational math etc.
for people that work as traders, strategist, or anything related to algorithmic trading, which degree would you recommend: MFE, Master Stats concentrating finance, Master in applied math, master in comp sci. and which school programs can prepare you for working in this field. Thank you so much!
