I was going to apply to the CMU MSCF program but I mistakenly thought the (Round 3) deadline was Friday instead of today. Fortunately the CMU MSCF program has a few deadlines so I will still have a chance to apply, but if possible I'd like to receive my decision sooner rather than later. My question is has anyone been in a similar situation and been able to submit their application a day after the deadline? Thanks.

If you subit after the deadline, your application automatically goes to the next round (your case - April 22). And on their web site it is clearly stated:
"All decisions will be made in accordance with our posted admissions deadlines. We will NOT release decisions before these deadlines."
which in your case is June 10

You can try to contact them and ask them to review your application in the round for which the deadline has just passed, but I would suggest you not to do that, since you will present a first impression of a deadline misser, which is not a good thing to be, and your request will probably be denied anyway...

I had the following query : I am applying to the MSCF program and will be submitting my application before the second deadline, but one of my recommendation providers will be unable to send the recommendation across in time. Will my application still be considered for the second round?
Their reply : As long as your application is complete within two weeks, it will remain in the second round.
IMO, it should be fine to check with them. Their reply suggests that they are able to accommodate applications even after the deadline.

that is not correct, as your application wasn't fully complete due to someone else missing the deadline, not you. it's common for admissions committees to have lenience when it comes to recs, but it's not common for them to treat tardiness on the part of the applicant the same way.

Thanks for the advice guys. I've decided to just apply for the next deadline.
