Hello everyone.

I am currently a rising Junior majoring in Econ, Stats, and Math minor. I am wrapping up my investments internship at a large-sized pension fund, where I focused on quantitative market research and portfolio allocation strategies. I also have an oil trading internship at Texas lined up for next summer.

I am very interested in the quantitative side of investments, especially asset-management in either equities, commodities, or fixed income. I am heavily considering bumping up my math minor to a major to be more competitive in the application process. I was wondering if my current experiences are in line with what is required and looked for in an application for programs such as Chicago, Columbia, MIT, and all those top MSFM programs. Also, I am planning on doing a student thesis in some form of investments strategies or asset-management this coming school year.

I would love to get some feedback and advice in how I can better use my last 2 years in college to be ready for the recruiting cycle and specifically how I can stand out.

Thanks!
