Just curious, how do you people feel about your 1st round interviews? (e.g.Confident/Mediocre/Bombed)
Not so sure about this--only top 100 interviewed, basically everyone is really good stats-wise. This figure cuts out enough people that everyone remaining will be relatively strong but not enough that the interview doesn't serve to differentiate. Then again, someone should correct me if I'm wrong.Mediocre :/ but I don't think the interview is a huge part of the application, except maybe to tie-break between two good candidates.
There's really no way of knowing unless you're on the admission committee. We'll see, it's out of our hands now. Have you schedule that interview yet? Looks like the asked for the info first and then trying to reach out to alumni to see if they can find the interviewer.Just heard back about who my interviewer will be.
Yes, I had mine scheduled already. It seems like the case. Probably junior-level alums are easier to reach.Have you schedule that interview yet? Looks like the asked for the info first and then trying to reach out to alumni to see if they can find the interviewer.
I’m also curious about this. Does anyone know whether it’s quantitative or just getting to know you? Some people said because alumni interview is supposed to be brief, it is unlikely to be quantitative and more likely to be about getting to know you. What are people's thoughts on this
Not American, is it common for universities to send rejection letters/emails for graduate programs?I would say no tbh. I believe interviews end around first week February
For Princeton, they will send rejection letters together with admits around early March every year. Not American, is it common for universities to send rejection letters/emails for graduate programs?
Can you share a little bit about your backgrounds? I'm wondering what kind of applicants are they currently sending out the alumni interviews, thank you!Alumni interviewer? Did they reach out directly
Not on my end. This program seems to send offers in the first week of March each year and I'm not expecting any updates between now and then.Anyone have any updates?
