Hi.

I'm re-posting this thread... I did not get any feedback :(

I'm interested in applying to UCB & Columbia MFE program.

My information is as follows:

BSE in EE from top10 program with 3.45 GPA
MSE in ECE (electrical & computer engineer) from top 5 with 3.5 GPA
1 yr of Full time work experience in High Tech (think google or apple)
GRE: 156V 170Q 4.0AWA

How do you see my chances?

In addition,

I would prefer to work in Quant Research/Analysis related role to trader or SW Quant Developer.

Do you see it plausible? And is there anything I could prepare to get into these roles? e.g. CFA

Any Feedback will be appreciated :)

If you specifically want to do Quant Research related to trading, you would be better of applying to Baruch, CMU, NYU MathFin and considering those as your first choices.

CFA would be a good add-on if your interested in Asset/Investment Management specifically. Otherwise, not worth the time.

For other roles like Strats that your profile seems perfect for, go to UCB (you should get in if you don't mess up the interviews big time and I don't give a damn if someone thinks I'm being stupidly funny!)

Thanks for your feedback. Truly helpful :)
