Hey everyone,

Just wanted to get some advice regarding my profile. I will be applying for next fall. I have a few concerns and any advice on how to improve will be greatly appreciated. I want to try and go to the best school I can in the NYC metro area (NJ resident). Thinking NYU Poly/ Rutgers to be more realistic. Thanks.

-B.S. in Industrial Engineering from top 5 engineering program.
Relevant courses: MATLAB Programming, MicroEcon, Calc. 1, Calc. 2, Calc. 3, Probability, Linear Alg, Statistics, Stochastics, Python Programming, SQL & databases, Derivatives, Cap. Investment Analysis, Finance and Investments

Work Experience:
-Internship at prop trading firm
-8 months temp. role, FX Middle/Back Office at multinational bank
-Recently started as a performance analyst at an asset manager, ~900 bn AUM

Projects:
-Warehouse optimization with a small tech. company
- Senior Design project: database traffic optimization for a major Telecom. company

GRE:
-Q160, V150, AW4.0, taken in 2012 while at school
-Will retake in January

Outside Learning:
-C++ Certificate from QN
-Taking 4 courses online as a part of the FE certificate program from Steven's -Stochastic Calc, Pricing & hedging (This semester)
-Computation methods in Finance, Portfolio Theory and Applications (Next Semester)

- My 2 main concerns are:
1) my grades: a few C's in classes mentioned above
2) GRE scores: Obviously will need to get scores higher in January
3) Are the online classes worth it? I figure it cannot hurt for admissions to see an interest and desire to start learning the material before the program.
